Supersonic is a collection of statement jewellery which explores the fantasy and thrill of air combat. Supersonic looks at the role of the heroes and villains in warfare and comic book culture. The collection surrounds a heroic pilot who possesses exceptional military skill, his fantastically customised F14 Tomcat and its complimentary array of explosive weapons.
The F14 Tomcat is an iconic jet fighter famed for its design and impact. After the Vietnam war, the US Navy reviewed its needs under the VFX program and determined it needed a new class of aircraft - the 'Air Superiority Fighter'. The F14 Tomcat was the response - an extremely fast and manoeuvrable jet fighter which carried a wide range of high tech weapons. This interpretation of the F-14 sensationalises its shape and adds vivid colour to make it stand out and become a true super hero.

The F-14 is approximately 6.5” (165mm) x 4.3" (110mm).
The necklace is mounted on a curb chain and is approximately 14" (355mm) in length. Included is a detachable extension of 6" (150mm) giving a further option for styling.
Made from laser cut acrylic with plated chain and findings (nickel compliant to British and European standards).
